Michiko Yamamoto is a Japanese professional photographer who was born in Tokyo - Japan, and left Japan by herself age 12 , went to school in Europe, mainly in Germany and Switzerland, and spent a total of 15 years living in Europe before returning to Japan. She studied at the London College of Fashion, UK, where she achieved a B.A. in Fashion Photography in 2007.

Michiko produced work for iD Magazine, TASCHEN publications, CPL and cosmetics group Elizabeth Arden whilst at the London College of Fashion. She also created her own personal project, "Michiko World", focused on self expression through self-portraits.

Michiko is completely bilingual in English and Japanese, and also speaks some German. Since returning to Japan she has developed a strong reputation for her live work, capturing special moments of artists performing live at their shows.

Michiko has photographed many legendary international artists when they have been on tour in Japan, including The Rolling Stones, Sir Paul McCartney, Boyz II Men, Kenny G and Frankie Valli. She has also worked with many of the Japanese greats, including Tamio Okuda, Tomoyasu Hotei, UNICORN, TRICERATOPS, SANFUJINZU, Yoshii Kazuya, KAN, OKAMOTO'S, Rei and Sambomaster among others.
